Field Guide Term:
Branded Search

In short, branded searches are when someone searches for a brand by name.  Monitoring your own branded searches is a good way to estimate if your brand awareness marketing is working.  The more people hear about your brand name via print, radio, and web the more branded searches you should be seeing.  One easy way to monitor this is to look at your Google Search Console (link) performance.  To do this click on “performance” in the menu within Google Search Console and filter by query.  For the query field type in your brand name, or any variation of your brand name.  See the screenshots below for reference.
